We are very thankful to everyone who volunteers their time to coach / umpire. As a small token of appreciation, we offer:
Coaching
🏑 Support and activity ideas provided by the relevant Club Coaching Coordinator
🏑 Club funded ‘Introduction to Hockey’ course for lead coaches (requests for funding of other courses welcomed and will be considered on a case by case basis)
🏑 Per coaching session fee deducted from the following season’s membership fees (£4 for the current season), excluding DofE volunteers
🏑 x1 free of charge match per U10/U12/U14 tournament / match attended, regardless of experience and qualification
🏑 After having coached for 1 whole season, allowance of up to £30 towards a jacket (fully funded for non-playing coaches)
Umpiring (if interested in umpiring, the first step is to complete the England Hockey Online Rules Test)
🏑 Support and umpire coaching coordinated by the Club’s Umpire Development Officer
🏑 Whilst in training, club funded ‘Intro to Umpiring Course (Online)’
🏑 After having umpired x5 M3 / W2 matches with a coaching umpire and attended the EH ‘Intro to Umpiring Course’, club funded ‘Umpire Level 1 Course (Online)’
🏑 x1 free of charge match per match umpired, regardless of experience and qualification
🏑 Once qualified as an assessed level 1 umpire, allowance of up to £30 towards an umpire shirt (fully funded for non-playing umpires)
